Along the way, Rick shares his extensive knowledge of European history, art, and culture. Season 5
This series, two years in the making, transports us vividly into Europe's villages and countryside as never before. It's as if you're right there — slurping escargot in Burgundy, wandering through Salvador Dalí's home as if he just stepped out and left you the keys, and hopping a zippy water taxi to the desolate side of a Greek isle for the perfect hike, beach, and sunset. We walk with geese in a land where foie gras is almost a religion, commune with Viking ghosts on Denmark's "ship-in-a-bottle" isle, and scamper through Delphi's dramatic ruins at the very spot that Zeus considered the center of the world.
Season 6
This season's 11 half-hour episodes take us from Scandinavia over to Estonia, south to alpine Slovenia, coastal Croatia, fascinating Bosnia-Herzegovina, and all around sunny Spain — with a side trip to Morocco to boot.
Season 7
Every two years Rick Steves produces a new series of travel shows exploring his favorite European destinations. Season 7 includes 14 vivid episodes covering London, Paris, Venice, Florence, and Rome in delicious, wide-screen, hi-def — plus the highlights of northern England and three European travel skills episodes filled with practical, experience-enhancing, money-saving tips and insights.
Season 8
Every two years Rick Steves produces a new series of travel shows exploring his favorite European destinations. Season 8 includes 12 new, vivid episodes covering Turkey, France, Israel, Palestine, Italy, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, and Germany in delicious, wide-screen, hi-def. Released fall 2014.
Season 9

Join writer and host Rick Steves as he experiences the local culture, cuisine, and fun in some of Europe’s most interesting places: Italy (Siena, Assisi, and Tuscany’s wine country); England (Cotswold villages, Wells, Stonehenge, and the southern coast); Germany (Dresden, Leipzig, Hamburg, Nürnberg, and Frankfurt); and some exotic eastern adventures in Bulgaria and Romania. Whether you’re an armchair traveler eager to learn, or an active traveler dreaming up new plans, Season 9 of Rick Steves’ Europe is the next best thing to a plane ticket.
Season 10
Twelve episodes include Portugal (Lisbon and the country’s heartland), the heart of England, Greek islands, Sicily, and Scotland (Glasgow, Highlands, and islands). This season also offers a travel skills episode on cruising, and two special episodes on Europe’s greatest festivals. Season 11
Season 11 of Rick Steves’ Europe features eight all-new episodes. Join Rick as he experiences the local culture, cuisine, and fun along with some powerful lessons that only travel can teach. This season features the Austrian, Italian, Swiss, and French Alps (including hut-hiking around Mont Blanc) and sights that tell the story of fascism in Germany. This season also ventures beyond Europe, featuring two episodes on Egypt and one on Ethiopia. And, with the coronavirus pandemic causing all of us to reaffirm our values and priorities, we've produced a special retrospective episode called "Why We Travel."
Season 12
Season 12 of Rick Steves' Europe features a dozen new episodes showcasing Europe's great art and architecture in bite-size chunks. Join Rick as he explores the rise of Western Civilization as seen through Europe's most beautiful and evocative art: climbing deep into prehistoric tombs, summiting Michelangelo's magnificent dome, waltzing through glittering palaces, and pondering artistic genius from Praxiteles to Picasso.
Season 13
Stow away with Rick as we experience the local culture, history, cuisine, and fun with two episodes each in Iceland (Reykjavík with the Golden Circle, Ring Road), Poland (Kraków, Warsaw with Gdańsk), Istanbul (Turkish Delights, Capital of Emperors and Sultans), and London (A Royal Tour, Yesterday and Today); travel-thrill-packed episodes featuring highlights of Paris and Italy; and then loosen your belt for an unforgettably tasty gourmet barge cruise in Burgundy.
